San Francisco Sketchbook: Metro Theatre

The old Metro Theatre on Union Street is shuttered and surrounded by chic boutiques. The icon of a bygone era closed three years ago and condos were planned for the site. But the building is still there, although plywood covers the entrance and the neon lights no longer glow in the cool evening nights of San Francisco.

Tim--
I enjoyed seeing your last few posts. Old theatres are one of my favorites also. Yours looks great. I have done some that you may have seen in my archives.

Your San Francisco images also are nice. Ironically, I went to see the Giants play the Padres a short time ago and took lots of photos. I plan to do a scoreboard image similar to yours. I did not sketch during the game.

Keep posting. I enjoy your art and comments.
